NOTICE OF BOARD OF EDUCATION VACANCYPursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-15, notice is hereby given that the Sea Isle City Board of Education is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education, which will run through April 2012. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: To become a member of a local board of education in New Jersey you must:

  • Be able to read and write;
  • Hold U.S. citizenship and one year's residency in the school district;
  • Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the Board;
  • Not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body;
  • Be registered to vote and not be disqualified as a voter under N.J.S.A. 19:4-1; and
  • Satisfy a criminal history background check pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1.
 Interested parties are requested to submit a Letter of Interest to: Sea Isle City Board of Education
c/o Mr. Thomas Grossi, Board Secretary/Business Administrator 4501 Park Avenue Sea Isle City, NJ 08243 Letter may also be hand delivered to the Main Office at the Sea Isle City School, which is located at 4501 Park Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on regular school days. The letter of interest must be received on or before Noon on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Candidates for the vacancy will be interviewed at the Special Meeting of the Board to be held at 7:00 P.M. on February 16, 2012 in the Community Use Room of the Sea Isle City School.  During that meeting the Board intends to take action to fill the vacancy.
