Sea Isle City Students Support Komen

On May 9th, the students of Sea Isle City public schools hosted a breast cancer awareness walk at their school.  The event was organized by Chris Zellers, a school parent, as well as the faculty and students in support of Joanne Schneider, the school nurse, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer.  One of the smallest public schools in New Jersey, Sea Isle City has 80 students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten – 8th Grade.  All of the students participated in the event which raised $1,700 for the Central and South Jersey affiliate.  The school hosted an assembly on June to celebrate the success of the event. After detecting her breast cancer early, Ms. Schneider is doing very well.

"We are so proud of our student body for raising such a large amount of money. As the student council advisor, I am touched by the generosity of the students and constant willingness to help others," stated Lorye Craver, Student Council Advisor and Assistant to Business Administrator.
